Two men suffered serious injuries during a disturbance in Leven town centre late on Sunday night, police have confirmed.
An investigation has been launched after the incident which took place in Branch Street near the Shorehead area shortly before 11.40pm.
Two men, a 25-year-old and a 28-year-old, sustained serious injuries and were taken to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital for further treatment.
One of the men is understood to be in a critical condition.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said a 22-year-old man has been arrested and will appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Christmas Eve in relation to the matter.
