The victim was rushed to Victoria Hospital in the Fife town where his injuries were described as non-life-threatening. A large police presence, including canine units and armed officers, descended on Links Street at around 3.40pm this afternoon following the assault. Witnesses reported seeing men fighting in the street around the time of the stabbing with officers shutting down both ends of the road. Officers, who are still in attendance at the scene, have launched an investigation into the attack. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 27-year-old man has been taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy with non-life-threatening injuries. “We still remain at the scene, albeit scaled down considerably. “Enquiries are ongoing.”
