Three people in Leuchars have begun the new decade with an extra reason to celebrate after picking up £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.
The group of Main Street neighbours netted the windfall when KY16 0HB was announced as a daily prize winner with the People’s Postcode Lottery on Hogmanay.
Four Blairgowrie residents saw in the new decade with a bang after each winning £1,000 thanks to their postcode.
The High Street residents won the money when PH11 8DW was drawn as a daily prize winner on December 31, just hours ahead of the new year.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson congratulated the winners.
“What a fantastic way to start the new year,” he said. “I hope our winners go out and celebrate tonight!”
It’s been a lucky week for Fife players, with five neighbours in Trinity Place, St Andrews, scooping £1,000 each on Monday.
And just over a fortnight ago, 19 fortunate Fife residents each won £1,000 when numbers came up for 14 neighbours in Long Craigs Terrace, Kinghorn, and a further five in Maitland Street, Tayport, on the same day.
This draw was promoted by Save the Children which has received more than £8.2 million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
Many good causes close to the winners have also benefited from players’ support.
