Major roadworks planned on two of Fife’s main roads are set to cause disruption and delays later this month.
Resurfacing works on the A92 near Kilmany are due to get under way today and will be done between the hours of 7.30pm and 6.30am most nights until Friday January 17.
Bear Scotland, which is responsible for the work, says it plans to implement traffic management during working hours, meaning there will be two-way traffic lights in place with a 10mph convoy system in operation.
No works are planned for Friday or Saturday this week, but signs will be in place on the roadside to inform motorists of the works.
While working across the Gauldry/Balmerino junction, Bear Scotland says it will be manned in order to safely direct motorists through the works.
A spokesman for Bear Scotland said the roadworks are needed to replace the deteriorated surface on the main carriageway.
Meanwhile, drivers are also being warned of potential problems on the M90 near Dunfermline next week as operating company Amey carry out works.
The northbound on-slip at junction three will be closed from 8pm until 6am on the night of Thursday January 16 so Amey can do coring investigation works.
Traffic wishing to exit the M90 at junction three northbound will be diverted via the M90 at junction four, returning southbound to the M90 at junction three.
An Amey spokesman said works had been planned overnight to minimise disruption.
