A number of roads in Fife have been closed due to flooding as torrential rain and high winds continue to play havoc across the region.
The A914 east of New Inn Roundabout has been closed at Welltree layby between Kettlebridge and Muirhead due to flooding.
Fife Council road maintenance teams are currently at the scene and number of pumps are currently in operation in a bid to reduce the water levels.
Meanwhile the weather has also forced the closure of the Saline to Balgonar Road due to flooding at Meadow End Cottage.
In Rosyth, a vehicle has been left stranded this afternoon in flooding on Grange Road.
There have also been reports of flooding on the A912 Glenrothes to Falkland road with drivers advised to avoid the route.
Motorists are also being advised to proceed with caution following flooding in several areas on Station Road between Oakley and Cairneyhill roundabout in west Fife.
Last night’s yellow severe weather warning had indicated that the Kingdom would be largely missed but latest weather reports suggest gale force winds and rain will continue to hit the region throughout the afternoon before easing by early evening.
