The work of six 2019 graduates from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee is being exhibited at the Tatha Gallery in Newport.
The Graduates: Restriction Free, which runs until February 15, features the work of Daryl Terri Cooney, Emma Louise Grady, Hannah Benassi, Lucy Smith, Sam Renson and Sophie Hymers.
Helen Glassford, co-founder and director of the Tatha Gallery who is herself a Duncan of Jordanstone graduate said leaving art college can be a daunting prospect for many but this group of artists are already making their mark – “free from restrictions”.
She said: “It is a pleasure to exhibit the work of these up and coming new artists.
“We were excited to see their work in their degree show last May and therefore selected them to be part of this graduate show.
“They have all raised to the challenge of producing new work and we are pleased to support them in their endeavours as young professional artists.”
