A thief assaulted and robbed a pregnant woman as she made her way to Dunfermline bus station.
Sandra Law, 38, stole the woman’s purse and mobile phone after she had seen her at a hostel in the town, where the victim had met a friend.
Law, described as a prisoner in Edinburgh, was jailed for 15 months when she admitted the offence which occurred in Pilmuir Street and Carnegie Drive on September 19, last year.
Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court heard Law, who had had long-running issues with substance misuse, had asked the victim for money as she was “rattling” before she began struggling with her and grabbed her purse and mobile phone from her hand.
