Firefighters were called to deal with a fire which broke out in the kitchen of a property in Dunfermline late on Friday night.
Three crews from Dunfermline were alerted to the incident at a block of flats in the town’s Elgin Court shortly before 9pm.
Fire personnel arrived to find what was described as a “pot of food” well alight, and it is understood occupants became aware of the fire thanks to a smoke detector in the flat.
It is understood the fire was confined to the kitchen area and did not spread to other properties, although nearby residents were made aware of the situation.
No-one was injured, and firefighters were able to leave the scene just after 9.45pm.
