Bosses at H Samuel have revealed the Glenrothes jewellery store will be closing on Saturday, with the loss of five jobs.
The Courier revealed plans to shut the Kingdom Centre shop were at an advanced stage earlier this month, but a spokeswoman for parent company Signet has now confirmed the move.
She said: “We continually reassess our portfolio of stores on a store-by-store basis, particularly when individual store leases come up for renewal.
“This particular closure bears no reflection upon the future plans of the Signet business estate overall within the UK.”
The spokeswoman added the company was “sorry” to be leaving Glenrothes, but noted the store in Kirkcaldy would remain open.
