A busy road through a Fife village has been closed by police following a crash.
Police and firefighters were called to Main Street in Torryburn following the two-car collision at about 8.45am on Thursday.
The road has been shut off following the incident, which is said to have happened outside the village’s parish church.
Police say there is no access through the village and have told drivers to “avoid” the route.
A police spokeswoman said: “Emergency services are dealing with a two-car road traffic crash on Main Street, Torryburn. No details of any injuries.”
An earlier tweet from South West Fife Police’s Twitter account read: “There’s currently no access through Torryburn as the Main Street/B9037 is blocked due to a road traffic collision. Please avoid the area.”
Two fire and rescue appliances from Dunfermline were called to the scene.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said: “We did attend an RTC involving two cars. We made the scene safe but had no dealing with any casualties.”

Bus services through Torryburn are being affected.
Stagecoach East Scotland tweeted: “Due to a serious RTC in Torryburn all 8 and 8A services will be omitting Torryburn and Newmills until the road is cleared. Emergency service are attending the scene.”
Due to the bus not been able to pass in Torryburn due to an RTC the 09:10 service 4 from Dunfermline to Blairhall will not operate. The service will resume as soon as possible.
