A one vehicle crash on the A92 through Fife caused delays in and around the Kirkcaldy area on Tuesday afternoon.
Police closed one lane of the route southbound between Bankhead Roundabout in Glenrothes and Redhouse Roundabout in Kirkcaldy following the accident, which was reported to the emergency services at around 12.45pm.
Police and ambulance personnel attended but there were no injuries.
However, the vehicle involved was partially blocking a lane which prompted the closure, causing a knock-on effect for other motorists travelling south on the Thornton bypass.
Witnesses suggested the car involved, understood to be a silver saloon-type vehicle, suddenly spun as it approached the Redhouse roundabout and ended up in a ditch.
