A man has died after being hit by a car in Dunfermline. The 33-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, which occurred around 9.50pm on Wednesday. He was struck by a Mercedes Benz A-Class as it emerged from St Margaret Street car park two onto St Margaret Street. The white car stopped and emergency services attended. Police have issued an appeal for witnesses. Sergeant Nicola Young, of the road policing unit, said: “We’re appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this to contact us. “We’re also specifically appealing to a person who spoke to the driver just after the incident happened.” Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3744 of 19 February.
