High winds have forced the closure of the Forth Road Bridge to double deck buses, motorcycles and pedestrians.
With adverse conditions forecast until Sunday, bridge operator Amey has urged people due to travel over the Forth over the weekend to plan ahead and leave extra time for their journeys if necessary.
A spokesperson said the restrictions were “likely” to remain in place through to Sunday.
The Queensferry Crossing, however, is expected to remain open to motorway traffic, thanks to its wind shielding.
Cyclists and pedestrians needing to cross can arrange a lift by speaking to any Amey staff on site or calling 0131 319 3083.
