Tributes have been paid to a young father-of three who died after being struck by a car in Dunfermline.
Steven Kennedy, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision at the entrance to the St Margaret Street car park on Wednesday night.
The mechanical fitter lived with fiancee Katie Mackie and their children in the town.
His distraught family and friends paid tribute to the former Beath High School pupil, who had worked at TechnipFMC in Dunfermline for more than a decade.
Jane Kennedy said she was devastated and added: “He’ll always be my wee bairn.”
Friend Alison Goodwin said: “I just can’t take it in. I’m going to miss him.”
Steven’s colleagues described him as competent, well-liked, approachable and genuinely down-to-earth.
They said he always had a smile on his face and would be sorely missed.
An online page on gofundme.com to raise money for Steven’s family has already raised almost £7,000.
Steven was struck by a Mercedes Benz A-Class as it emerged from the car park at around 9.50pm on Wednesday.
It is understood the woman driving the car was taken away in an ambulance.
The road was closed for more than two hours as police investigated the incident.
Officers have appealed for witnesses to come forward, and would particularly like to speak to anybody who spoke to the driver just after the collision.
