Police were called to the scene of a crash involving three HGVs on a busy Fife road on Wednesday afternoon.
The lorries collided on the A92 Dundee to Halbeath road between Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly at about 3pm.
The route was closed eastbound for more than an hour, causing heavy congestion.
Firefighters were also called to the scene with a heavy rescue unit in use.
One person was freed from a vehicle by fire crews and taken by ambulance to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.
However, nobody is believed to have been badly injured.
A police spokesman said: “Police were called around 2.50pm today following a report of a three-vehicle crash on the A92 at Cowdenbeath.
“There doesn’t appear to be any life-threatening injuries.
“Emergency services are in attendance and there does not appear to be any life threatening injuries.
“One lane on the A92 Eastbound was re-opened shortly before 4pm.”
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said four appliances were sent to the scene at 3pm – two from Dunfermline, one from Kirkcaldy and a heavy rescue unit from Sighthill in Edinburgh.
Traffic Scotland posted to Twitter: “A92 is CLOSED eastbound at Cowdenbeath due to an RTC involving 3 HGVs. Emergency services are on scene. Traffic is queuing.”
