The incident happened around 2.20am today on the A915 Largo Road when a car struck a male pedestrian. The 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The 22-year-old male driver wasn’t injured. The road was closed for several hours as enquiries into the circumstances got under way. Officers are keen to hear from any witnesses to the crash, or any motorists in the area at the time with dashcam footage. Locals are also being asked to check house CCTV footage for anything that could help. Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately via 101, quoting incident number 0594 of Sunday, March 1, 2020.
