A number of key sporting events planned for Knockhill Racing Circuit in Fife throughout April and May have been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Race fans have been assured that the events, over five weekends over the coming months, will go ahead at a later date and that any tickets purchased will still be valid.
However, the Scottish Motor Racing Club and Armed Forces Appreciation Day on Sunday April 5; the Super Lap Scotland and Easter Show Car Sunday on Sunday April 12; the Knockhill Motor Sports Club Bike Racing on Saturday and Sunday April 25 and 26; the SMRC Mini Mania event on Sunday May 3; and the KMSC Bike Racing planned for Saturday and Sunday May 30 and 31 will all need to be rescheduled.
In a statement, Knockhill said: “Following on from our initial coronavirus update on Friday, we’d like to update everyone with regards to Knockhill activities.
“As stated, we have taken on site precautions for all staff and customers and are continuing our requirement not to come to Knockhill if you are showing signs of fever, high temperature, or have visited any of the countries as advised by the government.
“As a result, all non-competitive sporting activities (karting, corporate days, experience days, track days, testing) are continuing as scheduled with enhanced hygiene on site, and if a customer cannot attend for whatever reason, we will reschedule the experience date.
“Sporting events, however, have been postponed and will be rescheduled later in the year. Race fans can be assured that these events will go ahead and that any tickets purchased will still be valid for any new date.
“If fans cannot make the new date then refunds will be issued.”
