Motorists have been urged to be wary of an abnormal load which will be travelling from Cupar to Dundee via Falkland on Thursday.
The load, understood to be a giant tidal turbine, will leave Cupar at 10am and travel along the A91 to the Melville Lodges Roundabout before heading south along the A92 to the New Inn Roundabout.
From there it will continue on the A912 via Falkland to Strathmiglo where it will rejoin the A91 heading west towards Mawcarse.
It will then follow the B996 to Glenfarg where it will need to stop to allow the overhead power cables to be shut off.
It will continue on to join the A912 towards Bridge of Earn where it will merge with the M90 and continue onto Dundee along the A90.
The load will then travel along the A90 Kingsway where it will end at Stannergate Road.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Public road users are to be aware that this load will be slow although under a police escort and when travlling thorough Falkland it is advised that cars are not parked along the A912 by Falkland Primary School.”
