British Heart Foundation has closed its network of charity shops indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The charity has shut the doors to its stores across Fife, Dundee and Angus and donation collections suspended with no indication of when they will re-open or resume.
The decision comes as the charity looks to support its volunteers and staff which may be at risk as well as those looking after family and loved ones.
A message posted in the window of its Kirkcaldy shop, read: “Due to the coronavirus outbreak, we are sorry that we are currently unable to open our stores.
“This is to support volunteers and colleagues who may be may be at higher risk due to underlying health conditions, or have caring responsibilities.
“We have also suspended our collection service, and kindly ask that you do not leave any donations outside this store.”
The charity operates stores in Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes and St Andrews as well in Dundee, Perth and Angus.
