Firefighters have tackled a blaze that broke out in a new build home in a Fife town.
Two appliances were called to the property just off Orebank Road in Cardenden shortly before 11.15am and arrived to find a fire in an upstairs bedroom.
No persons were reported and no-one was injured as fire crews from Lochgelly and Kirkcaldy attended.
The Lochgelly crew were stood down around six minutes after arrival, although the fire personnel from Kirkcaldy remained on scene for several hours.
An investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.
Smoke could be seen from some distance around billowing from the village’s Bowhill area.
