A poignant tribute was paid by fellow firefighters at the funeral of former Kirkcaldy station commander Ian Wishart on Tuesday.
A guard of honour comprising a dozen uniformed colleagues, as well as two fire engines brought in from local stations, lined the approach to Kirkcaldy Crematorium.
The former Watch Commander at Kirkcaldy Station, who also served at Lochgelly and Rosyth stations in his career and was one of seven Fife commanders before his retirement, passed away suddenly this month, aged 59.
Due to the health risks of coronavirus, those present formed an honour guard by standing apart. The highly respected fire chief is survived by wife Heather and children Lewis and Clark.
