A motorcyclist was hurt when he came off his bike on the A92 at Glenrothes.
The accident occurred on the southbound carriageway between the Bankhead and Preston roundabouts on Tuesday evening.
It is understood the man swerved to avoid a pheasant and suffered broken bones when he lost control of his motorbike.
Witnesses stopped to help and the rider was taken to hospital.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland attended at Bankhead roundabout at 6.20pm on Tuesday, March 31 after reports a motorcyclist came off his bike.
“He was checked over by ambulance staff and the bike was recovered.
“There was no further police action.”
