The public is being urged to continue supporting local traders battling to keep their businesses alive during the continuing coronavirus crisis.
Fife based community interest company, Delivering Dunfermline has also praised businesses which have adapted to the restrictions brought about by the current closure of our town centres.
Many town centre retailers have adopted a delivery only option to allow them to continue trading.
Lisa Edwards from Delivering Dunfermline, said: “Many people and businesses are facing economic hardship during these unprecedented times.
“We take heart from the fact that businesses are working hard to support local communities. This has not been easy for them but they have been inundated with support from the public.”
Florist RC Ferguson has now taken to delivering fruit and vegetables, while bakers, craft shops wines and spirits merchants, butchers and other independent retailers are offering delivery or online options in order to keep their businesses operating during the continuing coronavirus crisis.
On behalf the 400 local businesses supported by Delivering Dunfermline, Lisa is urging the public to shop local and support their high street.
She added: “This time has shown that town centre businesses are central to the local community and supporting them is vital for the long term future of our high street.”
