A Fife man has appeared in court following an incident earlier this week which saw police in riot gear descend on a property.
Brian Kinloch, 32, from Methil, appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court charged with assault, fighting with police, and an offence under the Misuse of Drugs Act following an incident in Buckhaven’s Shakespeare Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.
Kinloch appeared on petition and made no plea or declaration during a private hearing on Thursday afternoon.
Officers with riot shields were called to a disturbance in the Fife town at around 3.25pm.
Sheriff Derek Hamilton remanded Kinloch in custody and he was committed for further examination pending a second appearance next week.
The case was moved from Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court to Falkirk Sheriff Court due to COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.
