The fire broke out in a barn containing several hundred straw bales early on Sunday evening. It was 3.30pm on Monday before the blaze was completely extinguished. Six appliances were sent to Blairsgreen Farm, by Saline, after the alarm was raised around 6pm on Sunday. No one is believed to have been hurt in the incident, and animals are understood to have been moved to safety. The road between Saline and Oakley was closed on Sunday evening.
