Police have launched a probe after a man was stabbed in an incident in Fife.
Police were called after reports of a disturbance at a block of flats in Cowdenbeath yesterday afternoon in which a male suffered injuries.
Officers cordoned off the street for a number of hours as an investigation into the disturbance got underway.
An appeal has now been made for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland, said: “Police were called around 4.10pm yesterday (Saturday, April, 25) to a report of a disturbance in South Street, Cowdenbeath.
“A 26-year-old man was taken by ambulance to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, and was later released following treatment.
“Officers are currently following a positive line of enquiry and urge anyone with information about this incident to get in contact via 101, quoting reference number 2691 of 25/04.”
