A man was treated for smoke inhalation following a house fire in Dunfermline.
The blaze broke out late on Sunday night in a terraced house in Whitelaw Road.
Firefighters extinguished the fire, which occurred just before 11.15pm, and were aided at the scene by police officers.
Police said there were no suspicious circumstances.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We were alerted at 11.14pm on Sunday, April 26 to reports of dwelling fire on Whitelaw Road, Dunfermline, Fife.
“Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene, where crews worked to extinguish the flames within a two-storey terraced house.
“One male casualty suffered from smoke inhalation.
“Firefighters left the area after it was safe to do so.”
A Police Scotland spokesman said officers were called in half an hour later.
He said: “Officers attended and assisted the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service at the scene.
“Nobody was injured and there were no suspicious circumstances.”
