A planning application has been submitted for a Starbuck’s coffee shop in Leven.
The bid by London-based Nexus Properties includes a takeaway and drive-through.
If approved, it would open at the B&Q store at Riverside Retail Park.
The application has been hailed as good news for the town by Levenmouth area convener Ken Caldwell.
The SNP councillor said: “This is a great good news story in midst of this chaos.
“It is further evidence of the development of Levenmouth as a growing economy, following on from the establishment of other national chains in the town and in the run up to the rail link coming.
“It is good news for employment prospects and I’m sure that local businesses will also get a spin off from this.”
