A Fife curry house is helping volunteers ensure nobody goes hungry during the coronavirus lockdown.
The Shimla Palace in Cowdenbeath donated more than 100 meals to two community groups to distribute along with groceries and other essentials.
Owner Kashmiram Bhandari, who also provides food for key workers in the Cowdenbeath area, got in touch with Fife Council offering to support the work volunteers do to help the public.
He donated 60 meals to Oor Wee Café in Kelty, where local groups work together to supply food to those most in need.
He also provided 50 meals to Lo’gelly Lunches in Lochgelly, which operates a community larder.
Fife Council welfare support assistant Linzi Forbes said: “To see all the different groups and volunteers in the community coming together for the benefit of their community has been inspiriting and something positive to be part of.
“The curry went down a treat and we’ve had great feedback, including pictures of happy customers enjoying their korma, naan bread and rice.”
