A second car-load of people has been caught making a five-hour journey to Courier country to pick up a dog.
A family of four was stopped en route from Halifax to Cupar in Fife, on Monday.
Police said they were attempting to collect the family dog which was in the care of another relative, almost 300 miles away.
Cumbria Roads Police stopped the silver Renault on the M6 and issued a fine for breaching coronavirus lockdown rules.
The family was then escorted back south.
The force tweeted: “Family of four stopped northbound at J43 M6, travelling from Halifax to Cupar, Scotland to collect the family dog.
“The dog being in the care of another family member.
“Fine issued and escorted south.”
