Two teenagers have been arrested and charged following a number of assaults in Dunfermline on Thursday evening, police have revealed.
Officers were called to at least four separate, but linked, incidents which are all understood to have taken place within just a couple of hours.
At least one of the victims required treatment by paramedics at the scene in Linburn Road amid reports he was struck by some sort of weapon.
Other assaults took place in Tweed Street, Tuke Street and Kinnis Court.
No further details about the nature of the assaults have been divulged, but it is believed none of the injuries sustained by those assaulted are life threatening.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police Scotland can confirm that two males, aged 15 and 17, have been arrested and charged in connection with a series of assaults in the Dunfermline area on Thursday, May 14.
“The incidents happened on Tweed Street, Linburn Road, Tuke Street and Kinnis Court in the town.”
Both teenagers are expected to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court in due course.
