A teenage pedestrian has died following a crash near Glenrothes.
The incident occured at Little Balquhomrie Farm, on the outskirts of Leslie shortly after 11am.
The 18-year-old man suffered “serious injuries” and could not be saved.
A teenage girl has been arrested in connection with the crash.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police were called around 11.10am on Friday May 22 following the report of a one-vehicle road crash involving a car and pedestrian at Little Balquhomrie Farm, Glenrothes.
“Emergency services attended and an 18-year-old man who had suffered serious injuries was pronounced dead at the scene.
“An 18-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident.”
