Police have been called after a tree has been blown down hitting a car and blocking a busy road in Fife.
The incident happened this morning on the B9157 road close to Aberdour.
The tree has come down as the region continues to be hit with high winds.
Police have closed the route and set up a diversion for motorists as Fife Council staff work to clear the obstruction.
A spokesperson for police Scotland, said: “”Officers were called around 10.40am to a report of a tree falling onto a car on the B9157 near Aberdour, Fife.
“The council have been made aware and the road is currently closed. No one appears to be injured.”
Motorists using the popular route are being diverted through Aberdour at this time.
