Police have named the teenager tragically killed in an road traffic accident in Fife on Friday.
Joshua Kerr, 18, died following an accident close to at Little Balquhomrie Farm in Glenrothes.
Emergency services attended around 11.10am on Friday, May 22 following the report of a one vehicle road crash involving a car and a pedestrian.
The teenager suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
An 18-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the death and is due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
The family of Joshua have paid tribute, saying: “His mum, dad, little brother and anyone that ever knew Josh will never forget him. He was the perfect person and we will forever love him.”
Detective Inspector John Easton, of the Major Investigation Team said: “This was an isolated incident and there is no risk to the wider community. We are keen to talk to anyone who may be able to help with our investigation.
“Anyone with information that could help us is urged to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1237 of Friday, May 22 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
