A Fife man has appeared in court topless, after being arrested in Monday’s hot sun for creating a disturbance in a chemist’s queue.
Fraser McKinlay, 37, began to shout and swear at staff after a quibble about his position in the queue, formed under social-distancing requirements.
Prosecutor Alistair McDermid said: “He puffed up his chest and told members of staff, ‘I’m going to make every day hell for you’.”
Falkirk Sheriff Court heard that McKinlay had been sitting on a bench queuing in the sun outside the Cadham Pharmacy in Glenrothes on Monday afternoon.
Appearing in the dock yesterday wearing only the red shorts and shoes he had had on when arrested, McKinlay, of Brae Court, Glenrothes, pleaded guilty to using threatening and abusive behaviour.
Solicitor advocate Krista Johnston said there was a suggestion McKinlay had felt “undermined” by some remarks someone had made to him.
