Police have formally identified the body of a woman which was recovered from the Firth of Forth last weekend.
Officers launched an urgent appeal for information after the woman was spotted in the estuary just to the west of South Queensferry on Saturday June 13.
Police Scotland has now concluded its investigation after identifying the dead woman as 30-year-old Veronica Frincu, last spotted leaving her flat in Wester Hailes.
A spokesperson said: “There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
“Members of the public are thanked for their response to our appeal.”
Ms Frincu’s relatives have been informed of her death, the force added.
