Detectives have launched an appeal for witnesses after a pervert wearing nothing but brown shoes and a “gimp”-style mask exposed himself to two teenagers on a Fife walking trail.
The young women, aged 15 and 16, were approached by the man in the Rabbit Braes area of Kirkcaldy.
It happened at about 4.50pm on Wednesday.
Police Scotland issued a plea for information on Thursday night. They said the teenagers were sat together on the grass when the man sat down near them.
A few minutes later, they saw the man standing naked wearing a “face covering” with dark sunglasses.
He then walked towards them whilst exposing himself, before grabbing a pile of clothes and running off towards Cawdor Crescent.
The suspect is said to be of medium build, in his mid-20s to early 30s.
Detective Duncan Thompson of Central Fife CID said: “This was a very distressing incident for the girls involved and although they were not physically harmed they have been left shaken.”
He said: “We are eager to trace the man responsible as soon as possible and I would appeal to anyone who may know who this is or may have any information to get in touch.
“There would have been other people in the Rabbit Braes area at the time of the incident, and we are appealing for anyone who thinks they saw this man or anyone acting suspiciously in the area to get in touch with us.”
Anyone with information should contact officers on 101 quoting incident 2669 of 24 June, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
