Fifers have welcomed the easing of lockdown measures, with playparks back open and more people allowed to attend funerals.
Children can now use outdoor play equipment and multi-use sports pitches after the Scottish Government updated its advice on measures to contain the spread of Covid-19.
Lockdown measures were eased on Monday, which marked the fourth consecutive day that no Covid-19 related deaths were recorded in Scotland.
However, people are being reminded that physical distancing and hygiene measures remain essential to prevent further spread of the virus.
Families are being urged to wash their hands or use hand sanitiser before using equipment, follow physical distancing rules, cough or sneeze into a tissue or elbow and be respectful to others.
Fife Council team leader Andy MacLellan said: “It’s great we’re reopening our outdoor play facilities in time for the school holidays but need to continue following the Scottish Government’s guidance on this.
“We look forward to welcoming communities back to our parks and open space facilities, while reminding everybody to continue observing physical distancing, regular hand washing, and use a common sense approach.”
From Monday, the number of people allowed to attend funeral services was increased from six to 20.
The council said on its Facebook page: “Physical distancing measures will still be in place for now, but this will allow bereaved families to have a chance to hold larger ceremonies to celebrate the lives of their loved one.”
