Fife College will reopen on August 31 with a blended approach to learning and teaching.
The college, which closed in March when coronavirus hit, will be offering online courses for most students.
Digital learning will be supported through the distribution of devices and 4G internet provision where needed.
The college said the safety and wellbeing of students, staff and visitors was its top priority and that each student will be contacted individually with details of their course arrangements.
More than 1,200 potential students logged on to find out more about college life during a virtual open day last week.
The online sessions were offered as an alternative to the face-to-face open days that normally take place on campus and gave people the chance to interact with lecturers and other staff ahead of the new academic year.
More than 800 questions were logged over four sessions.
Director of student experience and engagement Mhairi Shillinglaw said: “Feedback from the sessions has been fantastic with engagement actually higher than when we run physical face-to-face events on campus.
“It was really great to see so many prospective students getting involved asking questions, such as on our plans around social distancing on campus etc.
“This shows a real appetite for how college life will look during these unprecedented times.
“We will continue to ensure we provide detailed updates on our return to college plans as often as we can over the coming weeks and look forward to students getting their learning experience under way with us in August.”
