Police have launched an investigation into the attempted break in at a bank in Fife earlier today.
Police were called to the branch of the Bank Of Scotland in Bothwell Street, Dunfermline shortly after 9am this morning after reports of an attempt by someone to force entry to the bank.
The branch remained closed throughout the day with access to the building taped off by police.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland, said: “Officers received a call at 9.10am on Wednesday, July 8, reporting the attempted break in at the Bank of Scotland branch in Bothwell Street.
“Those responsible for the attempt failed to gain entry to the building and officers are continuing with there enquiries.”
