A man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Fife on Monday.
The 44-year-old was arrested after another man was stabbed in Methil.
Police said officers were flagged down on Methil Brae after a 42-year-old man was found lying outside a property with stab wounds to his leg.
The victim is in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, where is is said to be in a critical but stable condition.
Detective Inspector Chris Mill, of Levenmouth CID, said: “Officers reacted quickly to the situation and following an investigation led by detectives alongside local uniformed officers and engagement from the community, we were able to arrest and charge a man in connection with this incident.”
The accused is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
