Tributes placed and building cordoned off as police confirm names of pair killed in Leven crash tragedy

Police have confirmed the names of two men who died in a road tragedy in Fife on Friday.

Daniel Allardyce, 29, and Terence Thornber, 27, were killed when the car they were travelling in crashed into a building on Windygates Road, Leven, at about 3am.

Both men were from the town.

They were pronounced dead at the scene.

On Saturday locals left floral tributes to the pair at the location of the tragedy.

The road has been sealed off around the building which was struck by the car.

It suffered major structural damage during the incident.

Police say their investigation into the crash is continuing.

Sergeant Nicola Young, of the Fife Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thought’s remain with the family and friends of Daniel and Terence at this very difficult time.

“Inquiries into the crash are ongoing and I would like to thank everyone who has assisted with these. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”

Locals have been paying tribute to Mr Allardyce and Mr Thornber.
