A woman has been accused of stabbing her partner to death on Christmas Day.
Adriana Ciurar, 24, allegedly murdered Samoila Stoica last December 25 at a flat in Kirkcaldy.
Mr Stoica is said to have been left so severely injured by an attack that he died that day in hospital.
He was 25 years old when he passed away.
Ciurar appeared via video link for a short hearing at the High Court in Glasgow yesterday.
Lady Stacey adjourned the case until September. No trial date was set.
She said: “It may be that a trial can be fixed at that time, but it may depend on the state of the things with the pandemic.”
According to reports, the couple, from Toflea in Romania had been visiting friends in Kirkcaldy.
Police had been called to the upstairs flat in Kirkcaldy’s David Street after neighbours reported a disturbance.
Neighbours said there had been a considerable amount of noise and thought there had been a party going on.
There was a large police presence in the days following Mr Stoica’s death.
Officers appealed for anyone with CCTV footage to come forward.
DS Simon Telford from the major investigation team also appealed by letter for anyone with information to make themselves known.
