Operators of a popular Fife amusement centre have confirmed the venue will not reopen this year.
Action-Zone has been a popular fixture on Leven’s Promenade since 2005, when the town’s former Beach Concert Hall was transformed into the soft play centre.
The business has had to remain closed since lockdown started in March.
Scotland’s route map to recovery suggested on Thursday soft play centres might be able to reopen in the middle of September but the indicative date has not been enough for bosses at Action-Zone.
Breaking the news on social media, they said: “With a heavy heart we have to let you know that due to current and ongoing circumstances we will not be reopening again this year.
“We just want to personally thank everyone that has supported us over the last 15 years.
“Action-Zone was just not a business to us, it was part of our extended family.
“We have loved celebrating your little ones’ birthdays with you, and I am incredibly sad that we will not be doing this again for the foreseeable.
“We want to thank all our team over the last 15 years for all your hard work and dedication.”
Food outlet The Hatch at Action-Zone will remain open.
