A three-year-old girl is being treated for serious injuries after being struck by a car in Townhill.
The accident happened in the Fife village shortly after 10am on Monday morning.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Police were called around 10.10am on Monday, August 3, 2020, following the report of a car colliding with a three-year-old child on Main Street, Townhill, Dunfermline.
“Emergency services attended and the girl has been taken to the Victoria Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
“The road is currently closed and motorists are advised to avoid the area at this time.”
A section of Main Street in the village was blocked off by police as a collision investigation team examined the scene.

Stagecoach East Scotland said its bus services were unable to serve the village, which is just north of Dunfermline, while the incident was ongoing.
