A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after coming off his bike in Fife.
Police have confirmed a 36-year-old man was taken to Dundee’s Ninewells Hospital after the accident at around 4.35pm on the B930 Percival Road, which links the A915 Standing Stane Road between Kirkcaldy and Leven to the main coastal route.
The rider was treated at the scene by paramedics and is understood to have suffered a number of broken bones, although a spokesperson for Police Scotland said he was taken to hospital by helimed with “serious but not life threatening” injuries.
The road was closed in both directions for more than two hours and was eventually reopened around 6.50pm.
