Concerns have been raised for the welfare of a woman seen driving in the Dunfermline area in the early hours of Thursday.
Police have appealed for help in trying to trace the woman, who was spotted by a member of the public driving a dark coloured Vauxhall Corsa at around 1am in the town centre and Carnegie Drive area.
The person pulled up beside the car and spoke to the driver who seemed very distressed. The woman then drove off.
She was between 40 and 60 and slim with brown/greying hair and a fringe.
Constable Vicki Philip, from Dunfermline Police Station, said: “The member of the public called police following the incident to report concern for this woman driving the car, however enquiries so far have been unable to trace her.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around 1am on Thursday morning who noticed a dark coloured Corsa driving erratically, or anything else of significance, to please get in touch.
“I would also urge the woman who was driving to come forward and speak to officers to let us know whether she is ok.”
