A 22-year-old man from Perth has appeared in court following the alleged attempted murder of a woman at a Fife beauty spot on Saturday.
Connor Goodfellow appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, on Tuesday afternoon charged in connection with the alleged incident at Woodend Community Woodland on the B981 on the outskirts of Cowdenbeath on August 29.
Mr Goodfellow was charged on two counts of assault to injury and danger of life, and that of assault to severe injury, danger of life and attempted murder.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody and committed for further examination.
He is scheduled to appear in court again within the next eight days.
Police were called to the popular woodland area shortly after 6pm on Saturday after a report of a woman having been found injured at the site.
The woodland remained sealed off by police for more than 48 hours as officers launched an investigation into the incident.
