A man charged with attempting to murder a woman and leaving her for dead at a Fife beauty spot last month has been released on bail.
Connor Goodfellow, 22, whose address was given only as an address in Perth, made a second appearance at Dunfermline Sheriff Court following the alleged incident at Woodend Community Woodland on the outskirts of Cowdenbeath on August 29.
Goodfellow was charged by police with one count of assault to injury and danger to life, and another of assault to severe injury, danger of life and attempted murder.
After his first appearance last week, Goodfellow appeared on petition at Dunfermline Sheriff Court where he made no plea or declaration and the case was committed for further examination.
Goodfellow was released from custody on bail on strict bail conditions.
The court appearances come after a 23-year-old woman was found injured in woods just off the B981 shortly after 6pm on August 29.
The woodland remained sealed off by police for more than 48 hours as officers launched a full investigation into the incident.
