The latest search for a missing Glenrothes man has concluded without producing any new leads.
Police officers and specialist sniffer dogs conducted a three-day search of woodland near Anstruther following information regarding the whereabouts of Allan Bryant Jr.
More than two years after he disappeared following a night out in Glenrothes, the search had been prompted by details passed on to the Bryant family.
Allan Jr’s mother, Marie Degan, said: “When any information comes in the police have to take it seriously, no matter how small it is.
“Everytime we know they are investigating we hope that this is it.
“We just have to hope that soon enough it will be.”
Mr Bryant Sr said the last few days had been a “huge stress” on his family and has vowed to continue fighting to find his son.
